In 2020 we launched the first of our online fundraisers. With Covid-19 restrictions in place it wasn’t possible for us to fundraise in the way we would've previously, so we hosted our first online quiz event in December 2020. We were blown away by the support; it was a huge success. In one evening we brought together a community of over 230 households from all over the world, raising over £20,000.
Since then we have hosted an online quiz fundraiser, annually. These events have been vital for us to help raise the funds needed to sustain our charity and support individuals and families in need both in the UK and overseas. This year's event is being held on Sunday 26th March at 7.30pm and we'd love you to join us if you can. Better yet, invite your friends and family and put your quizzing skills to the test.
How your ticket purchase helps
Simply by buying a ticket and joining us for an evening of entertainment, you’ll be helping us support thousands of vulnerable people in need all around the world. All of whom are in desperate need of everyday essentials such as underwear, toiletries, nappies, warm clothing and bedding.
To make our operation viable and help those in need, we require funding. The money raised from the event will help us continue to support more people like Yulia and Nina.
Yulia and Nina's story
Yulia is eight years old and lives with her mother Nina. Not so long ago, they had a happy family, but in 2020, Yulia tragically lost her father.
Understandably, the family suffered badly from the loss and it has had an adverse effect on Yulia’s emotional and psychological state. It is very hard for Nina raising Yulia by herself and the loss of her husband has caused huge financial strain but thanks to the support we’ve been able to provide she doesn’t lose hope.
Ways you can support us
As well as buying a ticket for the event there are a number of ways you can support us:
- Buy a raffle ticket - For as little as £5 you can buy a raffle ticket and be in with the chance of winning. One of our amazing prizes; previous year's prizes have included a Jet2 holiday for two and a Harrods Hamper worth £500
- Sponsor a box of aid - £10 will sponsor a box of aid with the value of £500 of goods
- Sponsor our event - help us cover the costs of running. This event by becoming an event sponsor
- Donate - From a one-off gift to a regular donation, your support can help us help us continue our work.
All money raised through the sale of tickets will be used to help communities and individuals who have been struggling to make ends meet due to war, displacement, or poverty.
