HRIF & Goods For Good Rescue Project - Ukraine
1st March 2022
At Goods For Good, we have been working extremely hard to ensure a rapid response to the Ukraine crisis.
We are working closely with our Dutch charity partners who have set up humanitarian aid hubs on the Polish border with Ukraine. We are supplying relief aid to Ukrainian welfare centres and we are liaising with the Ukrainian Embassies in Poland and the Netherlands to make this happen. Trucks have already departed from Weesp in Holland, loaded with essential bedding, clothing, footwear, hygiene and essential toiletries. More trucks are being organised.
We are currently mobilising the community to collect, sort and pack essential goods and non-perishable food items. Locally, we are working closely with Watford Borough Council and the Mayor of Watford to co-ordinate logistics. Meanwhile, one of our main corporate partners, My 1st Years have worked incredibly fast and have kindly dedicated their warehouse as a receiving centre for goods and are now ready to receive donations ready to sort and pack to send.
As you can imagine, it is a complicated process to co-ordinate and ensure the essential items reach those vulnerable communities.
Please do not bring items to our small warehouse in Watford.
For full details of how to donate goods and the process for getting them to the dedicated warehouse in Northampton, please download the following document: HRIF & Goods For Good Rescue Project - Ukraine.
We also really do need urgent funds to pay for the delivery of vital goods, please donate what you can here.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
