Can you help us raise £6,000 for our SOS Appeal?  That's the cost for us to send essentials to the families affected by Friday's devastating fire in Northern Iraq.

On Friday (4 June 2021) a massive fire swept through a refugee camp in Northern Iraq. Almost 1,400 inhabitants of the camp were left homeless as the fire destroyed over 400 tents and injured at least six people.

The displacement camp was set-up in 2014 to help those fleeing the massacres and kidnapping of women and children by ISIS.

The Washington post reported that “As night fell, sobbing could be heard among the ashes, residents said, as devastated families combed the skeletons of their tents in search of anything left to be saved.”

This is desperately sad not least because these people have suffered such tragedy and already have so very little very little. We are working with our charity partners on the ground to respond to an SOS Appeal to get essential aid sent to the families who are housed there.

Can you help us raise the vital funds needed to send these goods? It costs an average of £6,000 for us to send a consignment of goods overseas to Iraq. There are various ways to donate, if you can help please click to donate here.
