UNIQLO - Good Together
13th June 2022
UNIQLO visits Goods For Good UK Headquarters
On Wednesday 8th June 2022, we were truly humbled, and excited, to welcome a delegation from the global clothing company, UNIQLO to our Head Office in Watford, Herts, UK. Five individuals had flown especially from Japan to see us.
We were able to personally thank them for their kindness and support as they have been providing new essential clothing for many of our projects since 2018, enabling us to help vulnerable individuals and communities across the UK and globally. You can find out more about UNIQLO's work here.
Since 2018, the partnership has helped distribute £1.47M equivalent to 116,000kg of Uniqlo’s goods from their reuse and recycling schemes to UNHCR, UK and other areas. This has included countries such as Moldova, Romania, Poland and Northern Iraq.
To show their on-going support to our causes and to continue to help us with vital funds to operate our small, but mighty charity, Uniqlo agreed to join our Humanitarian Partnership Scheme. They are the the first company to sign up to our new scheme and we welcome them as a flagship partner, leading the way in helping us to continue our essential Humanitarian Aid work.
With financial help from companies, we will be able to increase our capacity and help even more vulnerable people.
The Head of Sustainability at UNIQLO Europe, Maria Ledous, told Rosalind, our Founder and CEO : “It’s so heart-warming to see the difference GOODS FOR GOOD is making in the local communities around the world. We are proud to be partnering with you and the team, and look forward to continue our great work together!”
