PLEASE BE AWARE that due to the Covid-19 crisis we are only taking on volunteers currently in the capacity of the roles detailed. If you'd like to volunteer with us for anything else please REGISTER YOUR INTEREST FOR VOLUNTEERING POSITIONS by completing the form on our website.

PICKERS AND PACKERS – (possible home-working opportunity)

This opportunity is great for people looking to volunteer from home. We deliver goods such as hygiene goods, toiletries, clothing, bedding and underwear to those in need and from time-to-time we need support to sort and pack these items before they are ready to be delivered. The work varies depending on what has been donated but could include:

• Picking up items for sorting from our facility in Watford
• Removing labels from the clothing we receive
• Sorting and packing cosmetic, hygiene goods and toiletries for our care packages
• Sorting, folding and packing clothing
• Applying Goofs For Good logos (stickers provided) to packages
• Returning goods within an agreed timescale

What will I be doing?

What will I need:

• Valid UK Driving Licence
• A car or van

PLEASE BE AWARE: You must also inform your insurance company that some of your mileage is clocked up via volunteering as this may affect your cover.

Are you someone who is well connected within your community? Someone who’s not shy to ask others to help? We’re looking for individuals who want to help people living in impossible circumstances in a very tangible way. As a community champion you can volunteer as little or as much time as you can. The work varies depending on what is happening in your neighbourhood and may include:

• Leading appeals for specific new or preloved goods within your community. Whether that’s your street, your neighbourhood, your synagogue, mosque, church, or your children’s school, you will help spread the word and rally others to donate items which Goods For Good can redistribute to people who are in need
• From time to time, collecting goods from your community and bringing them to our facility in Watford
• Sharing information provided by Goods For Good via your social media channels and WhatsApp groups
