Mark Ashman joined Goods For Good as Chair of the Board of Trustees in April 2025, bringing with him over 40 years of experience in the retail sector. He has held senior leadership roles in both public and private companies across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia—including at Marks & Spencer and other global brands—leading businesses in apparel, food, and general merchandise.
Mark’s deep understanding of the retail landscape and his global perspective make him ideally placed to support the charity’s work. His experience in building commercial partnerships, driving operational growth, and leading transformation will help us expand our reach, strengthen our network, and work more efficiently in delivering support where it’s needed most.
A key focus for Mark is the role retail can play in addressing both social and environmental challenges. His appointment reflects our continued commitment to sustainability—repurposing quality surplus goods to support vulnerable people while reducing waste and making better use of existing resources.
Mark’s appointment marks a major step forward for the charity. His insight, leadership and industry connections will help us strengthen the way we work and grow the impact we can have. This is a pivotal time for Goods For Good, and Mark brings the experience and energy we need to take our mission to the next level—working smarter, building stronger partnerships, and ensuring that sustainability is embedded in everything we do
