Community & Individual Volunteers

Anyone can volunteer with Goods For Good, we encourage diversity and encourage volunteers from all sections of the community and from all faiths and ages.

Whilst our impact is great, we operate with a small core team, so the support of volunteers is invaluable, enabling us to extend our reach and impact far beyond what would be possible otherwise. Our dedicated volunteers contribute regularly, embodying a spirit of dedication and commitment to our cause. With a wide range of volunteering opportunities available, there's something to suit every interest, ability, age, and skill set. Whether it's lending a hand remotely from home or online, or getting involved in activities at our warehouse or office in Watford, our volunteers play a vital role in driving our mission forward.

Current volunteering opportunities

Our volunteering opportunities vary depending on need. Currently, we need support with the following roles:

To discuss any of the roles we have available in more detail or if you'd like further information on how you can start your volunteering journey with us, please do get in touch by emailing: info@goodsforgood.org.uk

Volunteering with Goods For Good not only helps those in need but also brings immense personal satisfaction and a sense of community. In this short video Millie and Peter talk about why they have volunteered with us since the charity started in 2014.

Our Volunteers

We currently have a network of over 200 volunteers who support us; their support is varied and whilst some  support us on a regular basis, others do so when they can. We appreciate it's not always easy to volunteer on a regular basis, which is why we encourage  our volunteers to give as little or as much of their time as they're able to. Our volunteers are ambassadors for Goods For Good, helping us to:

  • raise awareness about Goods for Good - our profile and what we do;
  • build relationships within the community in which we work and contribute to supporting others in our local and global community;
  • inform the development and delivery of our activities, projects or services by bringing in new opinions, ideas or approaches. This can help us to adapt, stay relevant, respond to what our community and beneficiaries need as well as identifying opportunities to improve what we do;
  • deliver our service and projects in an effective and efficient way, which can help save money and resources.

We are looking to recruit a volunteer to help support our eBay coordinators.  The eBay Support Volunteer role is crucial for the charity as the money raised from our eBay shop helps us fund our work supporting vulnerable people around the world.
