The COVID-19 pandemic, cost of living and energy crisis and the war in Ukraine has caused many more families to slip into poverty. As a result we have been inundated with requests to help support those who don’t have the means or access to purchase everyday essentials such as clothing, footwear, underwear and bedding, nappies, hygiene goods and toiletries. Whilst we find ourselves rich in goods, we are poor in funds. As a result we are looking for Community Support Volunteers to help us raise awareness of our profile - the work we do, and the vulnerable communities we support, so that we can build networks and raise the vital funds we need to continue our work.
As a Community Support Volunteer you can volunteer as little or as much time as you are able. The work varies depending on what is happening in your neighbourhood and may include:
