Rosalind Bluestone MBE

FOUNDER & CEO

Born in North West London, to a working-class family, Rosalind's parents struggled to make ends meet with four children to feed.

Educated at Camden Town’s JFS school, she started volunteering at the age of 14, working with Camden Council’s Task Force, visiting the elderly and organising events for them. During the school holidays, she worked with deprived children in the area.

In January 2002, she started working as a Programme Manager for World Jewish Relief’s Gifts in Kind Programme and was responsible for building up the programme from scratch, exporting £33.3m-worth of humanitarian aid relief to Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union countries. She visited those countries and communities and the poverty she witnessed there impacted her life greatly.

When, in 2013, the charity closed its humanitarian aid delivery operation Rosalind didn't lose her passion or determination. In 2014, Rosalind decided to continue her work and expand it to help with an unprecedented world crisis, which she could not ignore.

With the help and encouragement from an ex colleague, Noah Bernstein, and Dutch Charity connection Max Veenstra, she set up Goods For Good in 2014. She started the charity from her living room table determined to address the imbalance she saw in the world between those that have too much and those that have too little. Since she founded Goods For Good the charity has helped over 5 million people globally receive the essentials they can neither afford nor have access to.
