Project Divert

At Goods For Good, we believe in the power of communities coming together to make a difference. Project Divert is our series of community-based collection drives held throughout the year, designed to collect essential items and distribute them to those in need. By working with schools, faith groups, and businesses, we aim to foster a culture of giving and reduce waste.

What we need

Currently, Project Divert focuses on gathering:

  • Clothing: Gently used and new clothing for adults and children (all ages)
  • Toiletries: New and unused essentials such as soap, shampoo, period products, toothpaste, and more
  • School Stationery: Supplies like notebooks, pens, pencils, and other educational materials

Our Aim

Project Divert aims to repurpose and reduce waste for the greater good. By collaborating with diverse community groups, we ensure that usable items don’t end up in landfills but instead find a new purpose with those who need them most. This effort is part of our larger initiative Repurpose For Good which encompasses all our activities aimed at promoting sustainability and social welfare.

Get Involved

There are several ways you can participate in Project Divert and make a meaningful impact:

  • Donate: Gather your gently used clothing, unopened toiletries, and new school stationery and bring them to one of our designated collection points.
  • Organise a Collection: If you're part of a school, faith group, or business, consider organising your own collection event. We provide all the support and materials needed to make it a success.
  • Volunteer: Join our team of dedicated volunteers who help sort, pack, and distribute donations. Your time and effort can make a huge difference.

Why Participate?

By participating in Project Divert, you're not only helping individuals and families in need but also contributing to a larger movement of sustainability and community support. Every item repurposed means one less item in a landfill and one more person in crisis who we've been able to support. Together, we can build a more compassionate and environmentally conscious world.

Help us deliver your donations to the people who need them by making a contribution to our transportation costs. A donation of just £15 will sponsor a box of aid with the value of £750 of goods to help individuals and families who are living in extreme poverty and often tragically difficult circumstances.
