No Family Left Out in the Cold: Change a Family’s Winter for £25

This winter, too many families are struggling to keep warm and make ends meet. For those left out in the cold, life means contending with the change in season and freezing temperatures without the means to buy warm clothing or bedding or even put the heating on, as well as the isolation and exclusion that comes with going without.

Last winter, with your support, we were able to help over 4,000 families. This year, we are aiming to raise £25,000 — enough to bring warmth, comfort and hope to thousands more families, making sure no one is left out in the cold.

• 12 million UK households are struggling to afford energy.
• 7 million adults are behind on household bills, with many in arrears on essentials like energy and council tax.
• Household debt has hit a record £2 trillion, leaving families unable to buy even basic necessities.
• The result? Families are being pushed into impossible choices: a warm coat for their child or paying off mounting debt, winter bedding to stay warm or shoes to keep their feet dry, a toy at Christmas or money for the electricity meter.

The Power of £25

£25 can change a family’s winter.

• £25 provides a family of four in the UK with an essentials box packed with clothing, bedding and toiletries
• £25 could also send 50 bottles of shampoo and 30 tubes of toothpaste to families overseas facing equally harsh winters.

Our target is £25,000. That means if just 1,000 people each give £25, hundreds of families will be supported this winter.
