Jo brings a wealth of experience in both the charity and corporate sectors to her role as Volunteer Coordinator at Goods For Good. Most recently, she spent a year at Sunnyside Rural Trust as Executive Project Manager, overseeing a unique initiative to build a messroom and glasshouse at The Orchard. This project enabled young adults with learning difficulties to gain hands-on experience in horticulture, working on land generously rented out by renowned garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith.
Prior to this, Jo spent four years at The Peace Hospice (now Rennie Grove Peace) as a Corporate Fundraiser. It was during her time at the Peace Hospice that she first connected with Goods For Good, when we donated toiletries to the hospice during the challenging COVID-19 period. This gesture left a lasting impression on Jo and marked the beginning of her journey with us.
In her role as Volunteer Coordinator, Jo is responsible for engaging, supporting, and organising the dedicated team of volunteers who power Goods For Good’s mission. From managing schedules to ensuring everyone feels valued and connected, Jo’s work is pivotal in enabling the charity to respond quickly and effectively to those in need. Her efforts help maximise the impact of our small team, ensuring that Goods For Good continues to deliver essential support to vulnerable communities.
Whether it's your time, services, or expertise, volunteer support is critical to ensure we're able to support vulnerable people in need. If you're interested in volunteering with Goods For Good, please get in touch with Lia, by emailing: jo@goodsforgood.org.uk
