Despite the geographical distance and challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Goods For Good, in collaboration with our charity partner, the SANDIWA Network of Advocates for National Minority Rights, made a remarkable difference in the lives of the indigenous Dumagats people of the Rizal Province. These resilient communities, facing limited access to technology and learning resources, were the beneficiaries of a delivery of school supplies.
In a year overshadowed by the pandemic, the importance of education and access to learning resources became even more critical. The children in the Daraitan Village received more than just school supplies; they received the tools to continue their education, nourish their minds, and express their creativity. As one young recipient joyfully shared, "We are so delighted as you hand over the school supplies to us. Now we have papers, pencils, and crayons to use in writing our notes, drawing creations of our thoughts and ideas, and writing articles on paper."
