This winter, our Give a Gift for Good appeal has an ambitious goal: to deliver 1,000 gifts to vulnerable individuals and families in our community. To make this possible, we need to raise £25,000. Aviva Match Funding – Double Your Impact
We are thrilled to announce that, for the third consecutive year, Aviva is supporting our appeal through their Community Fund. This means that every donation up to £250 will be matched pound-for-pound, effectively doubling the impact of your generosity. However, to benefit from this match funding, we must reach our £25,000 target by 22nd December.
Who Are We Supporting?
Our Give a Gift for Good appeal is focused on supporting elderly individuals and families with children who, due to a range of circumstances, find themselves facing incredibly tough choices. The rising costs of fuel, food, and other basic needs mean that for many, this winter could be even more challenging than the last. The recent reduction in the Winter Fuel Allowance has hit pensioners particularly hard, leaving them to wonder whether they can afford to keep the heating on or if they should skip a meal to save money.
Families, too, are under enormous pressure. The financial and emotional strain of providing stability for children while managing the demands of the season can be overwhelming. Some parents find themselves choosing between heating their homes and feeding their families, with little room for extras like winter clothing or holiday gifts. For children in these situations, the holiday season may feel very different from what they see around them.
