The idea for the project was driven by a desire to help vulnerable communities in the UK and abroad following the protracted and ongoing disruption COVID-19 was having on lives and livelihoods. The Big Heart Edit was born out of the context of the Covid 19 crisis which, as we all know, has real social and economic consequences”, said Ariane Vayid, Co Founder of The Big Heart Edit.
Inspired by the French initiative We Give Collab, Co-Founders Manuela Moollan (left) and Ariane Vayid (right), decided to develop something similar in the UK. “Covid had a big impact on the British population. Four million children live below the poverty line, 10 million people have seen their financial situation worsen during this crisis. We therefore had to provide our help by initiating a momentum of solidarity ”. Already very involved in the world of philanthropy, Manuela had the knowledge and contacts to set-up the project.
