Goods For Good is seeking to appoint a new Chair to come and join us and lead our committed Board of Trustees in their work. We are open to exploring a co-Chair model whereby two people share the Chair position with a division of responsibilities to be agreed. We feel that this approach could be beneficial for both the organisation and candidates as we navigate day-to-day governance and planning for the future.
Term: The Chair of the Board of Trustees will serve a three-year term.
Commitment: Variable, but time will be required to review board papers, attend meetings, and provide support for our CEO. Our Board of Trustees meet once a quarter, this can be online or face-to-face.
The position of Chair is a vital role within our organisation. As the Chair, you will provide strategic direction, guidance, and oversight to the board of trustees, ensuring the effective governance and management of the charity. This position requires a strong commitment to our mission; to provide essential goods to those in need, reduce waste, and support vulnerable communities worldwide, as well as excellent leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
