Volunteer Coordinator - £29,000 p.a. pro rata (12-month fixed term contract)

Whilst our impact is great, we operate with a small core team, so the support of volunteers is invaluable.  The increasing demand for our services means we are now looking to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and help us maximise this support.  This part-time role is initially a 12 month, fixed-term contract but could be extended if we secure funding to do so.

This crucial role will enable us to extend our reach and impact far beyond what would be possible otherwise. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the backbone of our volunteer program, ensuring that our volunteers are engaged, supported, and empowered to make a real difference in our community.

Role Overview

The Volunteer Coordinator role at Goods For Good is vital in building and nurturing our volunteer network. You'll re-engage existing volunteers and recruit new ones to help collect, sort, pack, and distribute goods. By enhancing our volunteer management practices, you'll ensure our volunteers feel supported and valued. Additionally, you'll oversee corporate packing days, where companies contribute to our mission by organising employee groups for hands-on support. Once the goods are prepared, our Operations team ensures they reach those in need. Join us and play a crucial part in amplifying our impact!

Key aims of the role:

  • Build and expand Goods For Good’s network of volunteers, re-engaging existing volunteers and recruiting new ones.
  • Oversee and strengthen volunteer management practices to ensure volunteers are supported and valued.
  • Coordinate corporate packing days, facilitating group activities for companies to collect, sort, and pack goods.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure collected goods reach those in need efficiently.
