Promotion, Passion, and Purpose: Luton Town Ladies FC’s Day of Giving

This past weekend, Goods For Good had the pleasure of joining Luton Town Ladies FC (LTLFC) for a truly special occasion: their final league match of the season and a well-earned promotion celebration. But this wasn't just a day of football glory—it was a celebration of community, compassion, and the incredible power of partnership.

“It was amazing to see how Luton Town Ladies FC brought their whole community together to support our cause. This is exactly what Sport For Good is about—people coming together through sport to make a real difference.”

Naomi Bhundia, Community Relationships Project Coordinator, Goods For Good

We were honoured to be invited by LTLFC to be part of their celebration and to support their fundraising cake sale and raffle, which the team organised and ran themselves. Their energy, generosity, and commitment to giving back were truly inspiring. Together with their supporters, they raised an incredible £480 to help vulnerable communities in the UK and around the world.

Beyond the funds raised, we were deeply moved by the generosity of the LTLFC community, who also donated pre-loved sportswear. These items will go directly to those in need, supporting our ongoing mission to ensure everyone—regardless of circumstance—has access to the basic goods they deserve.

Community at the Heart

This event showcased what can happen when a community comes together for good. From the players and coaching staff to the loyal fans, everyone played their part. Special thanks go to Nikki Baker, General Manager of LTLFC, for her unwavering support and warm welcome.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the volunteer bakers who supported the team’s efforts, including residents of Karuna Manor Care Home (TLC Care) and the ever-talented Leanne from Cookie Crumble, whose sweet treats kept spirits high and donations flowing.

Partnerships That Make a Difference

A standout supporter on the day was David Lloyd Clubs Luton, who generously donated day passes to our raffle—bringing the theme of health, wellbeing, and sport full circle. Their support is part of a growing partnership with Goods For Good that demonstrates the positive ripple effect that organisations can have when they step up for their communities.

We were also proud to be backed by Greystone Solicitors, who contributed a £50 Selfridges voucher and a luxury gift set, and Phil Duffy, Luton Town author, who kindly donated his books for sale.
