Sport changes lives. Not simply because people play a game, but because of everything that comes with it: confidence, friendships, positive role models, a sense of belonging, resilience.
For many children and young people, those opportunities begin with something incredibly simple: having the right kit.
Without suitable clothing, footwear or equipment, many young people are unable to take part in school sport, join a local team or access community activities. They miss out on far more than the game itself. They miss out on experiences that help shape how they see themselves, the choices they make and the opportunities they believe are open to them.
That's why we created Sport For Good.
Working with businesses, sports brands such as UNIQLO, Nike, Puma, New Balance and Adidas, , we redistribute quality sportswear, footwear and equipment through our trusted charity partner network to children, young people and adults in the UK and overseas, helping remove practical barriers to participation and creating opportunities that extend far beyond sport.
Since launching in 2021, Sport For Good has supported more than 100,000 people across the UK and overseas.
Time and time again, sports-based programs have shown to be central to promoting inclusion and creating opportunities for individuals as a means to establish mutual trust and create healthier communities. Sport For Good promotes our three central pillars which aim to:
By ensuring people have access to the clothing, footwear and equipment they need to participate, we're helping create opportunities to:
Across the UK, Sport For Good supports organisations working with children, young people and adults facing a wide range of challenges, from poverty and homelessness to displacement and poor mental health.
Whether it's supplying trainers to asylum seekers, activewear to teenage girls struggling with self-esteem or sports kit to families who simply couldn't otherwise afford it, we're helping ensure more people can experience everything that sport has to offer.
Sport has the power to bring people together in every community.
Alongside our work in the UK, Sport For Good supports trusted charity partners around the world, helping children and young people affected by poverty, conflict and displacement access the clothing and equipment they need to participate in sport.
Watch our charity partners in Moldova explain the difference your support is making.
Sport For Good supports organisations of all sizes, from grassroots community clubs and schools to charities working with refugees, young people, families facing financial hardship and communities affected by conflict.
Whether it's providing football boots for a local youth team, activewear for girls rebuilding their confidence, trainers for asylum seekers taking their first steps into a new community or equipment to help establish the first football school in Moldova, every partnership is built around the same belief: everyone should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of sport.
Every project is different, but together they demonstrate the breadth of Sport For Good and the impact that access to the right kit can have on individuals, communities and futures.
