In the early hours of Friday 8th September, central Morocco was shaken to its core by a devastating earthquake, registering a 6.8 magnitude. The aftermath of this natural disaster has been nothing short of heartbreaking—over 2,800 lives lost, countless injuries, and widespread devastation that has left communities reeling. Since the earthquake struck Goods For Good has been working with the charity Med Global and the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) to provide much-needed assistance to those affected.
The earthquake has left many without shelter, and as the temperatures drop, the situation becomes increasingly dire. We are working tirelessly to provide essential relief in the form of tents to those seeking refuge in the recently set-up refugee camp.

Founder and CEO of Goods For Good, Rosalind Bluestone MBE said,"Our immediate response is focused on addressing the urgent needs of the survivors. The earthquake has left many without shelter, and as the temperatures drop, the situation becomes increasingly dire. We are working tirelessly to provide essential relief in the form of tents to those seeking refuge in the recently set-up refugee camp. This is a critical step in ensuring the safety and well-being of the affected population."
In times of crisis, the urgency of our response can be a matter of life and death, and we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to partners My 1st Years and the Comfy Group; their swift and generous support has enabled us to respond quickly and efficiently. At time of writing, we have two trucks filled with essential goods such as bedding, pillows, duvets, sleeping bags, and new shoes, ready to dispatch. Their commitment to our cause is a testament to the power of collaboration in times of crisis and we are ever-grateful.
However, despite this incredible support, we recognise that this is a marathon, not a sprint. The mountainous region that bore the brunt of this catastrophe presents unique challenges in terms of relief efforts. Goods For Good is committed to working closely with our trusted charity partners to assess how we can best support the ongoing recovery and rebuilding process in Morocco.
Right now, we invite you to be a part of that lifeline by contributing to Goods For Good's Emergency Response Fund. It allows us to deliver essential aid, including shelter, clothing, and medical supplies, to people and families who have lost everything. Your support can make a world of difference in their hour of need.
